Stop for a second

Freeze that moment, yes… the moment that just passed – try again. Simply stop: Don’t do anything for three breaths.

Sometimes all we need is to pause just for a few seconds and in this brief moment in time we can experience a glimpse of stillness and inner quiet. Supported by our breathing without a thought we can return to ourselves and ground ourselves – simple but effective.

This short stop can take the edge off our accumulating stress and put us back on track, it is all we need and the good news is that we can keep doing this throughout the day and night, just pause and breathe without thinking just watching – maybe not a water drop but it could be the tree outside your window.

The best things in life are simple.
